Where do I begin? This was the most amazing bistro experience I’ve ever had. It was transformative.
Katy the “wrap goddess” made some incredible suggestions: kefta, vermicelli rice, crushed falafel, diced tomatoes, black olives, cilantro, toum, tahini, and feta cheese; with an ultra-fresh tabouli salad to round it out. Oh, and a glass of perfectly fresh lemonade. Not being completely in my element in a Mediterranean bistro, Katy’s suggestions made it happen. The service at Oliv is top-notch; they’re solicitous, kind, enthusiastic, and engaging. The owner and manager approached us multiple times to see how things were going. The place is intimate, with a décor and model not unlike Chipotle’s.
This was a magical moment. One of those food experiences that approach the intensity of sexual orgasm. Literally, crescendos of ecstasy. CRESCENDOS. I cannot say enough good things about this place. My wife and I are converts; we’re never going to Chipotle’s again. The helpings are more than generous and the price is even better than Chipotle’s. The food is fresh and of an extremely high quality. This food touched my tongue and my entire being went into full tilt, was sent flying on all cylinders. It ignited my senses. You wouldn’t expect to find a bistro of this caliber in this area. I wouldn’t be surprised to find it in say downtown Los Angeles or New York; but in Ormond? Thank the Greek gods!
